I want to begin my message by saying a huge ‘well done’ to our Y6 pupils for all of their hard work and perseverance leading up to the SATs and also for taking the SATs this week. You have all tried so hard and should be really proud of yourselves! I’d also like to thank the Y6 staff for their hard work in preparing our children for their SATs. Make sure you enjoy a really relaxing weekend away from any school work! No marking for you either Miss Whittingham!
Last week our Y3 class went on their first residential trip to Tattenhall. I know you all had a lovely time and your art work dragons are super! Your teachers thought you were amazing and were proud to be there with you. You can look forward to Burwardsley when you are in Y4 now! Thank you to the staff who took part too.
In other news, we have recently undertaken audits of different areas of school life:
The first audit was for EYFS. The consultant who visited was so impressed with the outstanding practice that she saw, she asked to come back to work with Mrs Vernon to develop documents to support other schools. It is a real accolade for us to be invited to take part in such important work and this also benefits our own setting too.
The second audit was for Safeguarding. Once again, the work of the school was very highly praised and we are pleased to have confirmation that our systems are robust from an external source. Next, we are going to get our School Council to report to you all about their work and its impact on being safe in school.
On a final note, we announced the KS2 show today…but that would be giving too much away! I’m sure the KS2 children will tell you all about it though!
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
