France Sep 2018 Day 3

Date: 26th Sep 2018 @ 8:30pm

Another beautiful day with blue skies and sunshine.

Today we went to Bayeux.  We started off with a trip to the market and a visit to a sweet making shop where we saw a demo of the homemade sweets from the owner.  We also got to try some samples.  Next we had lunch in the park.   After lunch we visited the famous Bayeux Tapestry which included an English audioguide and a short film to explain the events.

After the tapestry we went to the cathedral and admired the stain glass windows.

Our next stop was the Longues-sur-Mer battery along the coast.  We took lots of photos and the children enjoyed the walk in the sunshine.

Finally, back at the hotel, we packed our bags ready for an early start tomorrow.  Right now the children are enjoying their third (and and final!) French disco of the trip.
