Happy Summer Term!

Welcome back to the summer term everyone - it really does feel like the summer too! I hope you all had a lovely Easter holiday. I know the children had a lovely time if their descriptions of their adventures are anything to go by. I am pleased to report that everyone has settled really well after the holidays and work has already begun on new topics and projects. This morning we held our `Hermitage Heroes Assembly' and it was lovely to hear how children are continually displaying the values and attributes of our some of our heroes. Remember, you can find out more about this on our Achievements and Celebrations tab on our website. In the next few weeks we will be letting you know about our new `Eat Fit, Keep Fit' week. We are planning a whole week of healthy living activities for everyone in school to take part in. During the week, we will also be having our sports day. We are planning this for the week beginning 24th June. Please will you contact school if you are willing to work with the staff to help to make healthy snacks or can run fun exercise or fitness activities during the week? (E.g. Zumba, Tai Chi etc.) Further details coming soon! Today I am sending you all a copy of the results of the survey we began before the Easter holidays. I would like to thank everyone who took the time to complete the survey provide us with valuable feedback. The survey and comments have helped us to identify some areas where we would like to make improvements. Some are `quick fixes' and some require more work. On Tuesday 28th April at 7.00pm there is a Parent Representatives meeting to begin to explore opportunities for on-going improvement and we will keep you updated about progress. In the meantime, have a lovely weekend everyone! Miss Wilson
