Phew - what a busy week!

This week some classes have held their 'Welcome Meetings'. We do know that this can be really difficult for parents if they work and we're always willing to listen to your suggestions if you have any about how we could improve these meetings. The parents I spoke too found the meetings really useful and they also said some lovely things about our school too so 'thank you'!

One of the most exciting events in school this week was our 'Celebrations and Acheivements' assembly on Friday. This week, Y6 children have been applying for new roles of Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains for our 4 Houses (Elm, Beech, Cedar & Hawthorn) and also Sports Leader posts. Everyone who wanted ones of these jobs applied in writing and was then interviewed.

In the assmbly, Mr Janes - our Chair of Governors, came along to give out badges to the successful candidates. You can see pictures of the successful candidates in our school hall - well done everyone who tried, we are really proud of you!

Finally, on Saturday, our fabulous PTA organised an 'Eco Fun Day'! We had lovely weather and there was a super atmosphere around our school as children and adults took part in some of the fun activities.Thank you so much to Mr Bethall, the PTA and staff for your help and support!
