Times of the school day/absence
School starts at 8.50am for KS1 and 8:55am for KS2. The gate opens at 8.40am for KS1 and 8:45am for KS2. Year 2, 3, 4, 5 and Year 6 come into school through the Year 5 entrance on arrival (not before 8:45am) and go straight to their classroom. Reception and Year 1 enter school through the external Reception classroom entrance.
Key Stage 1 8.40am - 8:50am drop off School day 8:50am to 3:20pm (32.5 hours)
Key Stage 2 8:45 -8:55am drop off School day 8:55am to 3:25pm (32.5 hours)
Pupils arriving after the gate has closed need to enter school via the school office and the adult with them must sign them in.
Absence
Please inform us by telephone before 9.15am on each day of your child's absence. If we are not aware of any reason of your child's absence the Administration staff will telephone parents after 9.15am. This contact will ensure all children have arrived safely at school. All children arriving on the premises late will need to be signed in via the school office. External entrances to the school building and playground will be locked at 8.55am for safety reasons.
Children returning to school after illness should be free from infection and fit to be in school. If your child suffers from sickness or diarrhea then you should keep your child away from school for a minimum of 48 hours. Please telephone school if in doubt.
