ASC Provision

Welcome to Hermitage's ASC Provision Team

We are the team that supports the children who are part of the provision for autism. Our team has grown this year to support children who have joined us at Hermitage. All of the children in the provision are part of a mainstream class and have their own class teacher also. Some children are taught within the Resource Base for English and Maths and we liaise with parents throughout the year at parents evenings and coffee mornings.

Please do contact us or jot a question in your child's home-school communication book- we're also just a phone call away! (01477  532838)

They may also have social skills or life skills sessions with a member of the team. The resource base can also be used as a quieter space if the children need some time away from the busier classroom.

We aim to provide a happy, safe and nurturing environment for our children, giving them the skills to reach their potential. We offer specialist teaching to build social skills, develop communication and interaction and to prepare children for the next stage in their education. We believe that social development is critical to ensuring children are settled, confident and happy and that this then promotes good outcomes for children.

We are also happy to help support our parents (and learn from them) in ways to help their children.

A HUGE THANK YOU- To all the parents who came to our recent ASC Coffee Morning.

Thank you for the lovely feedback and we hope you enjoyed the session and found it helpful.
