Our topics for the Summer Term are:

Geography Focus: How does the North West compare to The Bay of Naples?
Science Focus: Sound, Electricity, Animals including Humans, States of Matter, Living things and their Habitats.
PE: Autumn 1: Hockey and Fitness. Autumn 2: Handball and Golf. Spring 1: Dance and Tennis. Spring 2: Gymnastics and Yoga. Summer 1: Athletics and OAA. Summer 2: Cricket and Dance.

Homework Task	Day Set	Details
Reading Journal Task	Tuesday	Choose an activity to complete from the list at the front of the orange book. Return to school by the following Monday.
Home Reading	Ongoing Bring your reading diary into school to be checked every Monday.	Read at home for at least 10 minutes at least 3 times a week. An adult should sign your home reading diary every time you read.
Weekly Spellings	Friday	Spellings taken home to learn following the first attempt spelling test on a Friday. Aim to improve your first score by at least five. Second attempt test is on a Thursday.
MyMaths Online	Every other Friday	Online Maths to be completed by the following Friday.
Arithmetic Book (Schofield and Sims)	Every other Friday	Complete the highlighted task by the following Friday.
Times Tables	Ongoing	Regular practice of times tables using a range of strategies including TT Rockstars, Speed Tables grids, reciting, verbal quick fire tests etc. There will be regular times tables tests in school, not necessarily every week.
